Well I think that this song is about forbidden romance, where one of the partners can't get out what he wants out of a relationship. He's still hoping for something more, but reality strikes periodically to let him know that his dreams are never going to become true. To me however it holds a different meaning. I always have struggled to gain people's appreciation, love and genuine relationships. And I do all these pointless things that i don't enjoy just to receive my own and others' approval. And sometimes I just realize that i struggle in vain. And i lose my motivation, my dreams. It's a beautiful song, it gives out this ...not depressive, but nostalgic feeling. |
