Well... since they ARE a Christian band. and they do sing about Christian related stuff... AND pretty much ALL of their songs are Christain songs... PLUS the lyrics say "The angels singing say we are alone with you I am alone and they are too with you" Obviously a blunt lyric. Yea... definitely talking about praise and worship... and GOD... and all that good stuff... I mean... its pretty obvious... |

O-K. I think this song is just about life. The End. (I'm going away for a while But I'll be back Don't try to follow me 'Cause I'll return as soon as possible See, I'm trying to find my place But it might not be here where I feel safe) -- "I'm going away for a while" I think that part is about the stage in your life when your trying to find out who you are. "But I'll be back Don't try to follow me" During that time, people mostly/usually push everyone out. "See, I'm trying to find my place But it might not be here where I feel safe" And in finding yourself it can be anywhere; good or bad. So where ever she ends up might be somewhere totally different than where she grew up, and with people that are not like the ones she grew up with. -- (We all learn to make mistakes And run from them, from them With no direction We'll run from them, from them With no conviction) -- "We all learn to make mistakes" We all make mistakes. "And run from them, from them" When we make those mistakes, I think she's saying we try not to make them again and try to avoid being the victim of some else's mistake. "With no direction" So we subconstituent do things to avoid being hurt again. "With no conviction" We start developing into very private people who don't share everything with everyone; in fear of getting hurt. -- ('Cause I'm just one of those ghosts Travelin' endlessly Don't need no roads In fact, they follow me And we just go in circles) -- "'Cause I'm just one of those ghosts" She's saying its as if she's not even there, because she shut everyone out. And she's just going in circles doing the same thing; shutting people out. Not trusting them. Going through life alone. -- (And now I'm told that this is life That pain is just a simple compromise So we can get what we want out of it) --"And now I'm told that this is life" And after searching constantly going through all the pains and hard ships of life, she's realizing that there are going to be pains and troubles because that's just how life is. "That pain is just a simple compromise" You can either dwell on how horrible it is "going in circles" or you can get over the fact that it is so horrible and look at it in a positive way. "So we can get what we want out of it" I believe she's saying find the happiness of life. That being the stuff people think make them happy. -- (Would someone care to classify? A broken heart and some twisted minds"; She's still on the fact that the world is full of sad and crazy people and she has yet to find someone to lean on. "And run to them, to them Full speed ahead" So she goes back to the people she once did rely on, because she has realized that they too are just like her; Looking for someone to rely on, a shoulder to cry on. "Oh, you are not useless We are just" She found some and then let them go when she realized that they are only human and they are going to make mistakes she finally just accepted that. -- (Misguided ghosts Travelin' endlessly The ones we trusted the most Pushed us far away And there's no one road We should not be the same But I'm just a ghost And still they echo me) -- So ultimately its saying that we're all misguided ghosts. "The ones we trusted the most" during the time we were figuring ourselves out; those people were also trying to figure themselves out as well. So they made mistakes and hurt us, so that "pushed us far away". We started to block people from getting to know the true us. We started to trust people less and less with who were really are. People try and be the same. "There's no one road"; People Try to be liked by everyone by acting like someone else. But you cant, we're all different people on different roads. "and still they echo me."; but ultimately going through the same things. -- Like I said. About life. The END. |
