| David Bowie – Sons of the Silent Age Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I think the guys David Bowie sings about in this song exist, and they have been around since human beings learned to speak, and judge each other (since Exodus). I will say nothing more about it. | |
| Broken Social Scene – Ungrateful Little Father Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I'm not sure if this is about a specific person out there or not, it seems to be. Seems to be about a frustrated single dad who doesn't want his kid. The last verse of the song is advice for the guy. I will say this, Freud said all religion stems from a desire to kill your father. Put THAT in your pipe. | |
| Broken Social Scene – Almost Crimes Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I think the first line is: Little kingdoms in your chess. I think this line is an allusion to a similar 'troubled boy as antihero/messiah' theme in "I've Seen All Good People" by Yes. The song is called Almost Crimes because the boy and the girl both committed 'crimes' against each other in a chaotic, short-lived, yet beautiful relationship. The 'inappropriate for children' lines are in there because the boy is the relationship is just plain nuts / bipolar or something, or maybe the girl and boy BOTH are. Anyway you look at it it's a beautiful song. |
