Guys the message in this song is obvious! its about getting high. You have to be clueless to miss this. "Well it was just a dream"- When your high its like being in a dream. "I was up so high, Lookin down at the sky"- he says clearly he was high, and hes so high the sky is below him. People that are high say that they are "in the sky", or on (Cloud 9). "Don't let me fall "- he says this because he wants to stay high and falling out of the sky is a metaphor for coming down off a drug. "I was shooting for stars, On a Saturday night "- He was getting high on a Saturday night, he was shooting for stars, meaning he wants to get higher than ever, or higher than being "in the sky" "They say what goes up, Must come down, but don't let me fall"- he is high, and he knows he will come down, but he wants to stay high, and doesn't want the world to "let him fall" "Cause im gliding up there oh so very high "- he is describing being very high, or being "up there" "Just blaze of this, Maybe roll one up then take a hit"- Now, some could argue that what is written above is only MY interpretation of the song and of the lyrics, but this quote is VERY DIRECT. "JUST A BLAZE OF THIS, MAYBE ROLL ONE UP THEN TAKE A HIT"- he is talking about rolling up a (BLUNT or JOINT) the taking a hit( taking a "hit" is the action of smoking marijuana). If you think im wrong please explain and use quotes from the song. |
