| Peter Bradley Adams – The Longer I Run Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| This song is about running away from one's problems and the regret which accompanies that. He is seeking solace in the act of leaving, expecting to find something to replace what he lost, something that he misses dearly. Yet, the singer cannot manage to find that something and is instead only met by disappointment. He begins to doubt if he made the right decision, even if it wasn't his to make. The chorus echoes these doubts as he ponders what could have been. | |
| Ryan Adams – Kindness Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I think this song is about a guy forgiving a girl for cheating on him. "Kindness can cure a broken heart" and "I will shelter you with my love and forgiveness" are the lines to look at in particular. | |
| Griffin House – I Remember (It's Happening Again) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| TheWheel- He is not saying that soldiers serving today are somehow less deserving of praise than their predecessors. You're reading the lyrics too literally-- the song is pointing out the general hypocrisies of war and how it doesn't really resolve larger issues. | |
| The Decemberists – Red Right Ankle Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think the singer makes it pretty obvious that this is a rather straightforward love story: "Oh, adhere to me For we are bound by symmetry And whatever differences our lives have been We together make a limb" Regardless of their differences he believes that together "they make a limb". Wonderful... |

| Ryan Bingham – The Weary Kind Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I agree with FullDevil-- I think this song is about a guy who has done some pretty bad things in their life (be it booze, womanizing etc.) and has finally found a place where he could be absolved of some of those sins (I like to think its a woman). Yet, he can't forgive himself for his past and instead needs to leave this place (or woman) because he doesn't quite think he deserves it. Instead, he searches for the "the highway that calls for your heart inside" | |
| Ryan Adams – Oh My Sweet Carolina Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think it's about a guy going from woman to woman. Each city kind of represents a new woman, but none can compare to Carolina or offer what she can-- maybe a past love or one that he's still waiting for. | |
