I think this is about when someone finds out that someone cuts themselves. "I'm not a stranger" I didn't change just because I hurt myself. I'm still me. "No I am yours" I'm still your friend. Nothing has changed. "With crippled anger" The person finds out and gets mad. "And tears that still drip sore" The person cries because they are shocked. "A fragile frame aged with Misery" The cutter is fragile and misery surrounds them. "And when our eyes meet I know you see" They understand once they finally "look into their eyes'" or really see them. (chorus) "I do not wanna be afraid" They don't exactly like cutting but it feels necessary. "I do not wanna die inside just to breathe in" It hurts their heart when they cut, but that feels like the only way they can feel secure. "I'm tired of feeling so numb" Cutting makes them feel alive and they feel they need it to really feel anything "Relief exists I find it when I am cut" The only time they feel truly at ease is when they are cutting. "I may seem crazy or painfully shy" Some people think cutters are insane. They are explaining why they are not. They like to be alone to cut so they seem shy and they look shy when hiding the cuts. "And these scars wouldn't be so hidden if you would just look me in the eye" If someone would have looked a little closer at the person, they would have seen that they weren't happy. "I feel alone here and cold here" No one else knows. Only they can help themselves then. "No I don't wanna die" Many people believe that all cutters want to die... this is not true. "But the only anesthetic that makes me feel anything kills inside" Cutting is the only thing to make them feel alive but it hurts them in the heart.
