The instrumental intro puts me in the greatest mood ever!

The Reign Of Kindo – Comfort in the Orchestration Lyrics 13 years ago
Honestly? This whole album is freakishly amazing. Reign of Kindo deserves so much more attention than they currently receive.

But this song right here is capable of pulling you out of the worst of funks on the worst of days.

Amazing song...Annuals never stop churning out bombtracks, no matter what some hoighty toighty critics have to say.

Bad Books – I Begged You Everything Lyrics 15 years ago
This song pops into my head at the most unusual times. I thought it was a little boring upon my first few listenings, but it sneaks up onto your liking. I think its the unexpected use but fantastic desperation of those f-bombs. Love it.

Annuals – Misty Coy Lyrics 15 years ago
This is one of my favorite tracks from Annuals' older, pre-Be He Me recordings, along with the song "Walk," which, sadly, we'll never get lyrics to because according to Adam, he can't even remember them himself. The Lay Down Dry LP has some great material on it, I'd love to see them re-work some of it in the future.

"Well there's something in them hills that sticks to me..."
Always moving.

Annuals – Always Do Lyrics 15 years ago
I didn't get the bullying aspect of these lyrics; to me, it's about a person telling his loved one that he is flawed, he does and will continue to make mistakes, but that his lover is the bigger person, "high above" him, because she loves him anyway, always. He's begging her to pull the "splinters" from him, his vices and faults, to make him better for her.

I think it's really sweet. This song comes off sort of hokey-country-ballad-ish upon first listening, but like lguard73 said, seeing them perform "Always Do" live completely alters your perception of it.

Annuals – Brother Lyrics 15 years ago
I first heard this song four years ago, around 3 am on MTV2 after hours or something; the combination of their sound, the video, and my dreamlike state led to my becoming a diehard Annuals fan ever since. I have to see them every time they come to town, and they really are an amazing group of people, all music aside.

I always get an image of a boyish Romulus and Remus in the second verse, though I am something of a history nerd. It fits, though, the idea that these brothers were so carefree and unburdened as children, before being thrust into the sometimes vicious currents of adulthood. Bittersweet, lovely.

Annuals – Sweet Sister Lyrics 15 years ago
I always heard him saying "Every morning I call you up, you're crushed and feeling faint." Makes slightly more sense, anyway, but I could be wrong.

Annuals – Loxtep Lyrics 15 years ago
Admirable attempts at the lyrics, though when I last saw them perform, Anna told me that nobody in the band truly knows the words to this song other than Adam.

Annuals – Sore Lyrics 15 years ago
Silly, but after spending some quality time with Adam at a few shows, I don't find it hard to believe that this song could be about a family pet. He's a very happy-go-lucky kind of guy, I think everyone (myself included) tries to build some deeper meaning out of his lyrics, when really, he's just singing what comes to him.

Of course, the video they made for it does suggest that it's about a man struggling to come home to his wife and child.

Great song, though admittedly, I've only truly disliked one Annuals song in their entire, extended catalog. :]
