Backstreet Boys songs bring back memories. They were a lot better than N'Sync in my opinion. I'm 25 and I love the Backstreet Boys, and I think if more MEN followed some of their lyrics we would have a lot more MEN and a lot less LITTLE BOYS. I would give a lot to have a man love me like this. Almost every song they have is about how they can love this girl better than the last guy and how he will romance her and all this other stuff, and I'm sorry but it takes a REAL MAN to love a woman like they sing about. So suck it up haters, you only hate the BSB because your women love them more than you! ha ha ha. |

This song talks about the problems in the world. I love the lyrics. "Is everybody going crazy?" "If you open your eyes, you'll see that something is wrong!" Absolutely priceless, and the singer puts so much emotion into it. |

This song was written about a peeping tom. But to me it was my and my first love's song. This was over 10 years ago, but when I listen to it I can still remember dancing with him in his room while he sang in his wonderful voice to me. Like most young couples he left me for some other girl he wanted to date, I went a little psycho for a while and eventually got over it. But he will always have a special place in my mind and heart :) |

Avril is growing up. It happens to all artists. At least she's being blunt and honest about all of it instead of trying to hide it like other once-child-stars. I'm sorry, but I like this side of her. We already know she has a deep, intuitive side. I like seeing this funner, more peppy care-free side. She's allowed to grow up, and it started with the last album she released in case you didn't notice...it seems like you missed an entire album. What about "Girlfriend", "The Best Damn Thing", and other songs that simply say "I'm good and I know it." A lot of women walk around with a low self esteem. Avril is an inspiration. To me she says "You got it, now you just need to flaunt it." Be able to let go of some of the ridiculous standards we are held to as females and just be yourself and be awesome, let yourself go. Men do it, why can't women? |

I was in a relationship that this song reminds me of. He wasn't outright physically or mentally abusive, he was very manipulative though. He would push me to my breaking point and then convince me to stay, only for him to push me further away. After three years of constant stress I finally got away from him. I can relate to this song...it's being in a relationship where you love the person so much that it's addictive. It's an incredible feeling when things are going good but it's always a roller coaster because as soon as that person gets slightly upset you fall apart. It's a dangerous feeling. |

I don't really see this song as an anti-war song so much as pro-soldier. It's hard to leave your family and friends and everything you've ever known to go around the world, let alone to put yourself in danger. But he is saying "I've come here to blow your fucking head off". When I hear that, I think "...so I can go home". I know very few people who are pro-war or who agree with the way this war started. But I would rather it be this way than the other option, for them to be here on our soil...killing our babies. And it's the soldier, airman, marine, or seaman (lol, sorry, I can't help myself), who volunteers to go over there and kick ass that is prolonging and hopefully preventing that from happening. Sidenote: The American military members aren't brainwashed. FYI. Just saying. |

Okay...here's my take on this with all of the anti-gay/gay debates going on. As far as religion goes...it's wrong to judge...'nuff said there. Don't be stupid...you can't go around saying being gay is wrong because that's being judgemental and being judgemental is wrong. Don't be your own hypocracy. This is exactly why I don't get along with a lot of members of organized religions. They're sheep and very few of them pay attention to what the hell is coming out when they communicate. Also, I'd like to point out that homosexuality has been in existance far longer than Christianity, considering it had been around centuries before Jesus was born. Just saying. Second off, for the sake of the debate of whether or not gays are born gay or not, both sides of you need to stfu unless you've got the fucking study in your hand that says one way or the other...for real. A lot of people say you're not born with ADHD but I've got it, and had it ever since I can remember. I can't say for sure I was born with it but I do know it's not an excuse. Third off, I am in full support of gays because at least they have the balls to be who they are. And as for the gay people who are on here saying "Oh, I wish I wasn't gay", quit whining trying to prove your point, accept and embrace yourself for who you are, whether it is a choice or not. It doesn't matter and you don't owe these assholes an explanation. That being said, I like the message this song conveys. I believe in accepting people for who they are regardless, because THAT is what GOD wants us to do. We are to be fishers of men, not go in and blow up the lake. That means if the fish bites, or if the person is interested (in lamens terms), then you try to help them in. But if the fish doesn't bit it doesn't mean you attack them. Seriously, what in the world are people coming to? By the way, I can't consider myself a Christian (for obvious reasons). I do believe in God, but I'm fairly eclectic in my beliefs. It's the only thing that scientifically makes sense. |

The song is fairly clearcut, yet when you hear it from the singer you can relate to them and their opinions and what they're going through. To me, this song hits a personal note. I travel for work. I was in a bad relationship and trying to make things work with a very selfish person. Things had been going alright when I left for my trip, but mostly we kept the peace so we weren't fighting right before I left, as I was going to be gone for a long time. While on this trip, I met a man. He too had similar problems with his SO. The song reminds me of our time together. He was a good friend to me. "Too much of the same stories in our lives I think it's time for change, don't you?" It was nice to have someone who could fully understand the pain and struggles I was going through and actually relate to it on a real level. |
