| Eminem – Say Goodbye Hollywood Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| lol theres a mistake like every other line.... | |
| Pixies – The Happening Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Great song, but I prefer the Thing version. It has piano instead of guitar and the vocals are more echoey and in the foreground. | |
| Gilbert O'Sullivan – Alone Again (naturally) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
"Looking forward to well wouldn't do" sounds more like "Looking forward to WHO wouldn't do" Either way it makes no sense to me. Anyone familiar with this expression? |
|
| Gilbert O'Sullivan – Alone Again (naturally) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Yeah I noticed that too. It reminds me of the smiths. | |
| Gilbert O'Sullivan – Alone Again (naturally) Lyrics | 13 years ago |

I rate this as the second most depressing song ever, after Song For Caden: http://www.songmeanings.net/songs/view/3530822107858813610/ |

| Eminem – The Way I Am Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
You act like he was grown in a lab by a music label as part of a conspiracy to destroy quality music. But he's just a guy like anyone else in the business. He was a nobody and then he had a breakout hit and got famous. You think if those other bands you're talking about got famous they WOULDN'T be on MTV or magazines? Don't blame Eminem for the failure of other bands. Record companies produce the records they think people want to hear. So blame the people buying records, or even the companies. |

| Aqualung – Good Times Gonna Come Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| This reminds me a lot of MUSE's cover of feeling good. Although I believe this song predated that. | |
| Glasvegas – It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| ^ I don't mean he does it through the whole song, but just at certain parts. | |
| Glasvegas – It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I like how he sings it... its like he says the words at the wrong times or something so it never quite goes with the melody, but it still sounds good. I don't really know how to describe it but I think you know what I mean. | |
| Pixies – Into The White Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
Death, space, both. When I hear it I kind of picture a soul floating through space on his way to the mythical white light. It could totally be about drugs too. Or dying from a overdose so its all 3 :P And to all the people who bitch about drug interpretations, we can't help it if almost every rock song ever made has drug references (or what obviously could be). The bands are on them, the fans are on them. Drugs and rock n roll are virtually inseparable. |

| Sublime – Seed Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I haven't heard the live version of this song, but a lot of these lyrics sound wrong. for example, "And if you don't it smacks you in your face" sounds more like "and if he gets it fuck you in your face" (lol) I also agree about the broccoli part, although it makes no sense. I really wish artists who don't enunciate would include lyrics... |

| Cat Power – No Sense Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Have you considered that no sex could mean no gender? "we had no sex" is kind of an awkward phrasing. Normally you would say something like 'we didn't have sex' or 'there was no sex'. Just a thought. | |
| Cat Power – Maybe Not Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
To me this song has a Buddhist vibe to it. I see it as sort of a call to step back from the materialistic rat-race of life and all the disappointment and compromise that goes with it, and instead focus on improving yourself mentally and spiritually (in order to find real peace and happiness). Sort of a "free your mind and the body will follow" message. It also seems to allude to the Buddhist belief that one can can change the world through prayer and sheer willpower: " There's a dream that I see, I pray it can be Look cross the land, shake this land A wish or a command " " You've got to choose a wish or command At the turn of the tide, is withering thee Remember one thing, the dream you can see Pray to be, shake this land " Or it could just be a simple message about following your dreams and not compromising yourself. |

| The Killers – Somebody Told Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think the chorus is just a reference to the way people gossip about everything and start stupid rumors that have no basis in reality. And maybe these stupid rumors are interfering with him hooking up with this girl. | |
| Muse – Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| This song looks lame on paper, but Bellamy makes it work. Now it's nothing compared to his earlier work (circa OOS and Absolution), but I still like it. | |
| Muse – Space Dementia Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Ok that makes a lot more sense. At first I thought H8 was short for hate, but then I bought the cd and it said height. So do you think the lyrics thing is a misprint? Like he wrote H eight and the publishers changed it to height? or is it supposed to be a double meaning (height as in being so high up you are out in space)? |

| Radiohead – Electioneering Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Actually, since this song is sung from the politicians perspective the forwards/backwards thing is probably more about politicians pushing voters around. | |
| Radiohead – Electioneering Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think the chorus refers to how as many voters become more progressive (demand things like gay marriage) the politicians are always putting the brakes on (or even going in reverse). Or it may be a reference to how they back away from key issues because they don't want to alienate voters. Or maybe just a general description of how we negotiate with politicians. The meeting in the middle thing probably refers to how we always end up voting for one of the candidates anyway, no mater how much they suck. |

| Giant Drag – Everything's Worse Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I'm pretty sure you're right. blood makes no sense. |
|
| Giant Drag – Kevin is Gay Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| sooo... no one really has a final answer for the numbers I guess. | |
| Giant Drag – Drugs Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Anyone know where you can even get this song? besides Limewire I mean |
|
| Sublime – What Happened Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Yea I can definitely relate to this. Many times. Xanax and hard liquor is pretty much a guaranteed blackout for me. |
|
| The Dandy Warhols – You Were The Last High Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
FYI, the lyrics in the cd case have it as "then", not "than". So the correct lyrics are "Then I said when you were the last high" and "Then I swore when you were the last high". It also has the "then"s capitalized, like they're the start of a new sentence. So that kinda changes the meaning (and makes it more confusing). |

| The Velvet Underground – Stephanie Says Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| This song reminds me of Veronica Mars, especially at the beginning of the show. | |
