After watching the video, it's pretty obvious that vampires are involved :P I think that the vampires are a metaphor for a failed relationship or something of the sort The man chases after a dreamlike woman and even jumps out of a window after her She shows him all these amazing places but sucks up his blood, his life, and leaves him alone with only a memory (symbolized by the heart in the video) The man looks at the heart and thinks of all he lost but realizes he is free (he looks out at the beautiful wilderness) and wiser |

I think this is about a guy who sleeps with a girl but doesn't really love her ("There are three things that I would die for But I am sure you're not one of them") but then she gets pregnant ('I saw the future and it's breeding") and is in love with him so she uses the baby as an excuse ("birth control to ransom" "Could be your last resort Like gold against your soul") but the guy isn't happy about it Maybe that's why the song seems so mean and dark Steve said that most the songs were about "Incidents" and this kinda classifies as one |

I'm pretty sure someone is being killed It sounds like this is someone who has done a lot of wrong, either he/she has personally hurt the author or is just a bad person in general ("Devious movements in your eyes", "Breath comes out white clouds with your lies") Also, although I think this is a bit far-fetched, this might be from the viewpoint of a freedom fighter or terrorist... someone self-righteous ("Beating for the cause", "Help me, cure you Atone for all you've done") |

"A queen of Snos"? "imquisitive"? really? :P but basically it's about, as most of the people above said, a guy who was in love with a beautiful woman, who loved him in turn but people (probably priests) who were jealous and wanted her raped and killed her then the main dude, haunted by "Her Ghost in the Fog", locks them all up in their "chapel" and burns them down not too sure about this bit but i think he locks himself up in there too so that he can meet her in death ("I embraced where lovers rot") |

yea i agree with most of the comments... but it could be interpreted in many ways someone who wishes he could just magically cure his lover/friend/family member when she's mortally sick or someone who can't get through to a friend who might be addicted, drunk, or just living in a really messed up way and wants them to be the way they used to be, rather than "poisoned"... waiting for their "awakening" either way its an amazing song and really touching lyrics |
