This song is about death. The first verse tells us that the cause of death was some sort of catastrophe - like the tsunami. The second verse is about the subject of the song being on death's door and thinking about what will come in the afterlife. The choruses are about the funeral and the people that are left behind. The "yearning" refers to those that are left behind missing their deceased loved one and dealing with the loss. |
