i was going to tell you that i hate when people try to force their beliefs onto songs/books to justify themselves, but i just now discovered that some of the members of SOAD are actually Christians. and i also remembered that Chop Suey was about Jesus. go figure. im a christian too, and i dont quite agree with SOAD's language in some stuff.. but you know, great band, great song. and im pretty sure that serj said this song was just completely random and none of them knew what it meant. but again, go figure. i cant find a quote from him, so its all cool :P |

i get the same feel that its definitly political, but i almost think its about the people living on welfare who really dont need to, and how theyre content to feed off of the government system, and be led like lambs to the slaughter. |

i definitely agree with that. i learned the intros of both on my guitar, and i was like, whoahh... those sound kinda the same. there's a fair amount of difference, but on the whole, they do sound quite similar. |
