Personally, it sounds like dealing with or fighting an addiction - Like an Alcoholic. They turn into a different person when they drink and they began to become distant from their family and friends. Causing a rift between them all. They won't give up the drink/drugs Because they are Human and can't fight it. So they bent to their addiction and it broke them. Maybe this is too literal but that's what it seems like to me. |
