Through all the rambling, I get a vague idea that the song is about a separated couple. "Rearrange beds to make sure thoughts flow straight from my house to yours" = when the guy makes his bed,it reminds him of the girl/singer The singer is accusing the guy: "Aches that sail like ships through cartilage you never did anything to For some reason it wants you to know it's not so happy with you" She knows even he hurts due to the break-up, but he won't admit. "The morning is your own" = he wakes up alone "The laughs don't fall out like they used to..." = the guy realises what he's missing/"they just fall back into you" = the joke's on him(?) "Save a piece of strength for me..." = possibly someday he'll want her back |
