I think this song is about a rough break-up, and how she cheated on him and wanted him back so bad but he saw right through her lies and basically is saying that she doesn't really love him because of what she did: I could forget the lies. I could forget the height for always. I could forget how desperately you tried. Flattery will get you nowhere. Thus explaining again, how she made him feel while she was with him and it's ironic now that she wants him back so bad: I could forget your pride. I could forget your wandering eyes. I could forget about the way you made me feel. You talked to me so condescending. Now this one may seem wrong, but it made a lot of sense to me. When he says "I'm so surprised you weren't dead." I think thats him saying that she said she "couldn't live without him" so he's surprised she's still alive even though they aren't together. And basically when he yous "You make me wanna forget" He's saying she makes him want to forget all the good times they had together or that she even exists. Make sense to anyone else? Sounds similar to what I'm going through... Lol. |
