mmm actually the line IS "crayons and dolls pass me by" if you connect it with the following part: "walking gets too boring when you learn how to fly" it makes perfect sense. Like a woman who learnt her way around sex at a very early age, like she grew up faster or lost her inocence at a very early age and so all childish games (crayons and dolls) meant nothing to her, she learnt how to "fly" which was much more interesting the song always makes me think of how i feel after a party when i've drunk too much and i've kissed lots of strangers and behaved like people in the i gotta feeling video, then i wake up and feel guilty for some of the stuff; she says "can't confess all my sins, scars (anything that hurts me when remembering what i've done o who...) remind me just how far that i've come" it sopunds like a woman leading a very dangerous way of life and also very passionate, so she's risked herself and got hurt along the way but accepts it and is also willing to take what she needs from others |
