I like the interpretations that have been offered previously. I've always, from the first time I heard this song, felt that he was talking about a young child. Maybe it's because I have a young daughter. Maybe it's the way the girl is described as talking, or reacting to conversation. But to me it sounds like the way an adolescent processes and provides information. Almost whimsical. Beautiful, beautiful song. |
