The opening sequence is from the TV Show "Freeks & Geeks". Nick Andopolis : "Look, these Teachers, these teachers want us to work! You know. And i say fine. I'll work. But you got to let me do the kind of work that i want to do. And for me Lindsay, it's ... it's my drumkit man. This is my passion you know. This is the essence of who i am now. But before i had this, i was lost too. You see what i'm saying. You need to find your reason for living. You need to find your own gigantic drumkit you know" Lindsay Weir : "Hey maybe i'll buy a Clarinet" |

| Mirah – Lone Star Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
It might have a "double meaning" but it sounds like a rant about texas as well. Sounds like she's mocking Texas for all it's "We are Big" and "The Alamo" Bullshit ("So tell me all about your celebrated past" and "So tell me all about how long your battle lasts" celebrating War History which probably isn't a thing Mirah is into). When she sings "You're so far. So good" she states that it is good that Texas is so far away from her. |

I think it is about bloomington Indiana, the town where they live. The reference to "you can arround without using the public transport" is a hint for it and so is the line "Cause it's just a quiet town We college books move back home to New York". |

| Hello Saferide – I Don't Sleep Well Lyrics | 14 years ago |

For me it is about the lack of letting go of your fears and commiting to a new love because you think it will end bad anyway. The inability to be happy due to a lack of trust and hope. The inability to live in the moment. |

| Camera Obscura – I Need All the Friends I Can Get Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Maybe it is more about friendship/relations in general since she sings "I need all the friends i can get". Also she puts both him, the mystery blonde and herself in the role of being just the same. Same wirth the "The people are tired and commitment has gone. To this I've been a witness" Lines. For me this is more a complaint about freindships/relations losing value. And the pure frustration about it is emphasised with the fact that even though she hates this, she still needs all the friends she can get since she tries to use quantity where quality is missing. |
