I've always related to this song, because during periods of depression, I don't want to go anywhere or do anything, I just want to hide away at home. But I dream about the future, when I'll be happier and do things. Rather than making me sad, I find this song very calming. |

This is my favorite Fruit Bats song, although it's so melancholy. I love the way it's sung. I read some review that said this song was about an imaginary relationship, but I always thought it was real. Obviously the guy had an unrealistic view of the relationship, but lines like "he was fine to just pretend" seem to indicate that he knew it was unrealistic... |
