I guess this song is much more about how mankind got so self-centered and short minded that we won't listen to each other anymore. Because of arrogance, proud and greed, we try to make our beliefs prevail upon each other and thus there's no exchange of knowledge. In the other hand, it also could be about the kind of people the world is "tired" to listen. Arrogant teachers, pretentious experts, pessimists preachers... |

I really think that this song is about how people are fighting racism with racism. It's about how minorities tend to blame prejudice, for every single problem they have. They believe that, as the white man controls the world, all white people have an easy life. What Fat Mike – as part of a minority group himself – is trying to say is that's not true. By doing so, they're being as racists as the so called "white man" and keeping this engine running. 1) "I wasn't brought here, I was born(...)Does this mean I have to take such shit for being fairskinned? No! I ain't a part of no conspiracy, I'm just you're average Joe" – Ok, I'm white and wasn't brought here on ship. I was born here! Does it make me a racist? No! He's stating that not all white people believes in this speech and thus, are not racists 2) "The soap shoved in the mouth to cleanse the mind. – For me that's about the excuses. It's much easier to believe that there's a "white" conspiracy to sunk minorities, than accepting responsibility, taking action and creating your own reality. That is made clear in the next part. 3) "so go ahead and lable me an asshole, coz i can accept responsability for what ive done but not for who i am" – That's what he did. He's now on top, because he worked his way to the top and not because a skin color. Don't call me white! Because I don't call you nigger, japs... We gotta keep in mind that there's this general consensus: If a Black guy says he's proud of being black, he's an activist... On the other hand, if a white guy says he's proud of being white, he's a racist. |
