This song is a masterpiece and a half times 5!!! "Black then white are all I see in my infancy Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me, let's me see" This is about how things used to be simple, but it started to become complex as time went on, like a child's sight when it's just being born. "Over thinking, over analyzing, separate the body from the mind Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must Feed my will to feel my moment, drawing way outside the lines" This is the main point in the song, can be taken in any way possible. To me, this line speaks instead of thinking about it constantly, just get out there and do it!! "Feed my will to feel this moment Urging me to cross the line Reaching out to embrace the random Reaching out to embrace whatever may come" This line emphasizes the fact that we need to think outside and move outside the box and see what's out there. Whatever's out there is waiting to be found. Waiting for us. Then the "I embrace my desire to" lines depict Maynard actually feeling all these emotions all at once. Almost embracing everything, the random, good and bad. (Think back to 46&2) "Swing on the spiral of our divinity and still be a human" made me choke up for a bit. This shows no matter what you follow, what faith you have, embrace it and ride that spiral. We'll ALL go where no one's been. The reason why no one's been "There" yet, is because everyone's so intolerant of other's cultures and religions that we're not ONE MIND! (Reflection, anyone?) Spiral out! |
