chasing cars may have an edgy lyrics because it may refer to a slang used by pimps to dismiss their hoes "Go Chase Cars" which means they work the streets. The chorus "If I lay here... would you lie with me" is a play on words. Getting laid and lying about it. "Forget about the world" that's how pimps in the movies seduce their victims by saying that they should forget about what they thought they know about hookers and the life of hoes. IMHO |
