this song really hits home & I think anyone can relate to it. it really shows bryce's faith and I love that. I think the song was written in a time when nothing was going as planned and life was really difficult. it's times like these that can make us feel hopeless, so far away from our god. but there comes a time when you step back ("here are your new eyes") and realize that god never once left you. he was always right beside you. in knowing this, a sense of comfort arises. "a peace comes over you" you know that while things may still not be perfect- god has a plan for you. as long as we trust him, everything will turn out alright. |

I'm not really sure what this song is about exactly but I love it. I think it's about the difficulty of beginning a relationship and the uncertainty that comes along with it. it's about something you might think you want but for some reason your heart keeps telling you it's not right. it's a place that's uncomfortable. pure unknowingness. somewhere we have to close our eyes and let it go... or take the chance and see what might happen. |
