Love this song so much...I feel this way a lot of times... I think it perfectly captures that feeling of "if you really love someone, you'll love them enough to let go." Because if you love someone, you'll want what's best for them. You'll do whatever it takes to help them realize their full potential. So if you know you're the only thing holding your loved one down, then you'll take a step back and let yourself fade into their memories. |

This song seriously made me cry the first time I heard it. It's obviously about Jesus, and how those who have had the chance to believe in Him and chosen not to do so have broken his heart. "No man shows greater love Than when a man lays down his life For his beloved" This is STRAIGHT from the Gospel (though I can't remember where). "I believe What if I believe you now Could it ever change this Forgive me, believe me Please come back to life Come back to my life" This is the part that got me...an honest plea for Jesus' forgiveness, a willingness to believe, a longing for Jesus to return to someone's life. It's so powerful. It could be about anyone, really, who has had someone give up their life for them. The very act would make them realize how much the other person loved them; it would make them wish that person was still in their life. |
