I agree apart from Satan being the surgeon. If you look at where this line is it says: "I've said it before but without accepting that my body was the only thing keeping me from living. I would'nt even let the surgeon touch me, Though facing death i dined on flesh" This is the part of the song where he is describing his life before he found Chist. So im guessing the surgeon is God and he wouldn't let God help him back then. But now he is a christian. |

I agree with Surrendered on this. It's not the anti-christ talking it's a normal human being who rejected God like all humans have done but he has turned around and started to follow God and fighting against the ways of this world. I think the chorus and the last line suggest that the person has victory. I think the important thing to remember is that we didn't win, Jesus did. We have this victory though Christ. |

This song is described clearly by Micah (Screamer and song-writer) on his video on youtube. He says that the song is voiced completely by Satan and Satan challenging God saying he's gonna "claim God's thrown". The only part that isn't Satan is the 1st half of the chorus where God says "If you could see like me you'd see you havent won anything, if you could see like me you'd see it's by my grace your breathing." I can see what you mean but that's not the way Micah intended the song 2 mean. Micah said in an interview that the 1st song is Satan challenging God n the last in the album is God smashing Satan n the middle songs r God speaking to people in different parts of their lives and building his army for the final battle between God and Satan. I think this song is one of the people saying to God that he doesnt deserve to be saved but Jesus is saying "Just run, you can hold perfection in your arms as i slip" so Jesus is pleading with the person to just trust him and accept the amazing gift God has offered him. |
