| Good Charlotte – Screamer Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Yea, dreamin' is fun... and this song sound cool. It was my fave, too... but now, I think I know, what "screamer" means and I don't like the meaning. Just search the word "screamer" in urbandictionary.com. Maddens know slang, they use slang... and in slang screamer means someone, who makes some noise while doing who-know-what. Like I said, check it out on urbandictionary.com. It also could mean a scary movie, made for fun. In which meaning did they use it here? No idea. Honestly, I used to love the band, but in my opinion there's just too much sex here. For example, you know the song "The Anthem"? It's not a sex-song in general. But what does the "you're playing with yourself" line mean? It means "you're masturbating". That's sad, but true. | |
| Flyleaf – Red Sam Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I agree with you, guys, but... the title. It was made from mixing two names: "jaRED" and "SAMeer", right? So this song must relate to these men. It's not about Lacey's relationship with God, but it's about Jared's relationship with God (the first verse) and Sameer's (the second verse) relationship with God. Maybe one day Jared and Sameer were talking together about religion and how they became Christians, and one of them said "Hey, how about writing a song about finding God? I'll write a verse about it, and you'll write the second one, then we'll make a chorus together". How about it? xD |

| Thousand Foot Krutch – Phenomenon Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Hymmm... this song, in my opinion, has just one meaning: "stand up for your beliefs, be brave". This song is not anti-Christian or Christian, you can even interpret it without thinking about religion (for example, your parents tell you that you have to be a doctor, but you don't wanna study medicine, or the government introdues a law that you think is wrong). But of course, when you're a Christian, this song may give you more courage to share your faith. And when he sings Down, here comes the sound, Everyone pound, your feet, to this phenomenon, Now, let's make it loud, Let's show 'em all how, you move to this phenomenon It descibes how I felt when I was on a pilgrimage. Around me there were many young people. Someone screamed "For Jesus" and the crowd answered "Hey", it was repeated three times and then they shouted "Hey, Hey, Hallelujah"! I thought "man, I love these hardcore kids". And well, I was one of them to scream "Hey, hey", too xD. |

| Thousand Foot Krutch – Phenomenon Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I've never thought about it this way. I've always thought that when he says "I'm not invisible like you", he talks not to God, but to the people, who are just too afraid to show the other what they think. They wanna be "invisible", they don't want the other to see them with their beliefs. And he says he's not invisible like them, 'cause he is brave enough to tell them what he thinks. | |
| Thousand Foot Krutch – Faith, Love And Happiness Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| The first verse is about all those people, who act like everything's okay, when it's not, and the second one is about the rat race and fame, I think. The boy hates living in his society, 'cause it's distracting him from the real problems and from the good things in life. | |
| Thousand Foot Krutch – Favorite Disease Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Hymmm... Firstly, I thought Trevor says something strange here, that God or faith is a disease. But someone said that in the booklet he gives us another explanation (I own the CD, but I bought "Deja Vu" pack and in the booklet there is only a list of songs). His favorite disease is music. Music is not my favorite disease and my faith is not one, either. But I have my own favorite disease. How to discribe it? "Sometimes I feel like a monster, and times I feel like a saint". I'm never sure if I'm good enough, and that's "killing me" (It makes me so afraid and distracted sometimes, that the only thing I do is praying "help me God, help me God" rather than "thank You, God!"), but also "healing me" (I cannot be just okay with the bad things I've done, and my "disease" reminds me that I should be a better person). It "shows me the way to Heaven", because without it, if I just felt content with everything, I wouldn't be aware of my sins and necessity of a change in my life. |

| Thousand Foot Krutch – E For Extinction Lyrics | 14 years ago |
In my opinion, he explains what it's like when you're trying to change something in the world. Can relate to Christians, but doesn't have to. :) And ps., how do you understand the strange title? xD Maybe the change we gotta make is fighting with our "extinction" (abortion, in vitro, etc). I dunno, I'm just pro-life ;). |

| Thousand Foot Krutch – Inhuman Lyrics | 14 years ago |
And you know what... I've just listened to it once more and now I don't really think it's about the Church or about God. "Inhuman" means "cruel", "uncivilised" and even...diabolical, right? Is this something you'd say about Jesus? Man, I don't really get this... and ps. I'm Catholic, maybe some Protestants believe in something else...? I've always thought this band is "pure" with their message. Now I'm not so sure... :( |
| Thousand Foot Krutch – Inhuman Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Maybe it's about... the Church? About the Church meaning a group of people who believe. (It's a rodeo Welcome to the big show Round 'n round 'n here we go Can't take it anymore) Hymmm... strange, but I think it's about how some people from the Church try to make you one of them and how they try to make you listen to what they say. Hey, let's get it started, show me how ya really want it Let's turn it up, rip it down and burn it up Hey, let's get it started, show me how ya really want it You're a part of me, I wanna give ya what you need Another thing that makes me think it's about the Church. A person is a part of a Church, of an organisation, not really a part of God, right? The first two lines make it clear for you, that to be a believer you have to be radical. To show them "how you really want it", it means salvation I think, you have to "rip it down and burn it up", you have to destroy the things that were making you sinful. I'm alive, because you touched me Take away the things that crush me No one else can save me like you do You're in human I'm alive because you gave me Time enough to shake this hate and Take it all away, just like you do You're in human Take it all away, just like you do You're in human Okay, so that's an effect of the preaching. A person, an atheist, starts to sing to God. Or maybe it's what somebody who is preaching says to God, to witness? All in all, it's about making some people / a person closer to God / the Church. I think. Because, honestly, it's a strange song. xD |

| Thousand Foot Krutch – Go Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Hymmm, have you ever heard about "Quo Vadis" book by a Polish writer Henryk Sienkiewicz? There was a couple there, Mark who is a pagan and Ligia who's a Christian. Firstly, Mark is crazy about Ligia, he just wants her for you-know-what. Than he starts to love her in another way - he sees she's a great person inside. This song is about the Christian type of love - you love somebody for his/hers innocence, peace etc, etc. This love makes you wanna be a better person. | |
| Thousand Foot Krutch – Make Me a Believer Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Well yea, he feels he let somebody down and is begging now for forgiveness. Maybe it's God who was let down by this man, but maybe it's just his friend or a relative, who knows? | |
| Thousand Foot Krutch – Hit The Floor Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| The boy is not sure about something. He knows what he should do, but he finds it too difficult. Inside he's sensitive, emotional man, he always feels he's not good enough. He's a musician. When he's alone, he can focus on his problems, but when he's on the stage, he has to act like he's easy-going and wants to have fun. | |

| Thousand Foot Krutch – Hand Grenade Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Sure it's about God? 'Cause I don't think so. I mean, the verse one and two make sense, but the chorus?! "Get wicked and drop like a handgrenade"? I think he's singing for a girl, ha! The boy looks for love, for a girl, who will change his world. The first verse "I need your breath to stay alive and make me feel this way I need your rise to look inside Watch how we collide..." He thinks he will be nobody without somebody, who'll be always close. Somebody, who'll make him feel like his life is meaningful, like he's a perfect person and a real man. "Take me, make me break Watch me get wicked like a hand grenade" He wants to belong to a girl that will get him high, who will help him to find something good inside him. He also needs a girl who'll make him just happy, crazy. "I find it hard to take some time I feel like I could break and I hope you hear my prayer tonight Can you hear my cries?" He doesn't want to be alone anymore. Maybe he thought he could be a single for the whole life, but then he felt like he "could break". So he prays: "God, help me to find a good girl, a good woman, who can be my wife, who can be the one and only. Of course, You're my God and nobody will never ever mean more to me than You, but You created man and woman, You want us to love each other, help me find somebody to love". The boy wonders if the girl he likes knows he prays for a woman of his life. Remember - there is nothing wrong when a man wants a woman. It's wrong if he doesn't want to marry her, if he doesn't want to be responsible - this and some other songs by TFK about wanting a girl doesn't say "let's make free love", they say "let's make love". They don't use the word "marriage", but they also don't deny it. God wants some of us to get married, have children etc, etc., there's nothing pervert about it ;). Maybe I understand it wrong, but love for God is not so sensual like this song, hehe. |
| Thousand Foot Krutch – Break the Silence Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Well, this song is about being in love with something/someone. TFK is a Christian band, but this song isn't about God, I think. It may be about a feeling for a girl (no perversion here, don't forget that it's not a sin to be hooked on somebody, and if you get married, you can even make love, have kids with NO sin) or maybe this just describes the feeling he gets when he's on a rock show and he's singing to an idol or something? Or maybe he's singing to a friend that makes him lose control sometimes xD? I know something about it! I have two friends who are three years younger than me, but they're not really like friends to me, rather siblings. When we get together, it's always so crazy like this song! They make me feel so alive that it's really so hard not to "makes moves, choosing the wrong place and time". My mom says I act like a kid with them, and that's rather true xD. All in all, you can get anything from the lyrics, but it's rather about wanting a girl/a woman "this way", and like I said, it doesn't have to mean anything filthy, it doesn't say if they're married or not xD. |

| Skillet – Best Kept Secret Lyrics | 14 years ago |
You know what? I think all the people who were healed by Jesus and couldn't "keep this all to themselves", even though He told them to do so, would heart this song xDD. Firstly, I thought it's strange to call God "The Best Kept Secret"... but on the other hand, is it easy to find God in the world that is so messed up and cruel? Think about war, abortion, sex everywhere, abotion, all those pseudo-christians, abortion, suicide, abortion, famine and poverty, abortion... Easy to find an Absolute here? I don't think so. It took me 16 years to realize He was always there for me, and it will take the rest of my life to show it to the world! I always smile when I think about those wayward, healed by Jesus people... I hope He understood how it felt when the healing came and that He just smiled indulgently and forgave them. |

| Thousand Foot Krutch – RawkFist Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Well, I thought this song has just one meaning - rock music is awesome! TFK got some songs with Christian message, but it's not one of them - it's just a good rock anthem. I mean, it's not like he's trying to say "God and worship and church are awesome", in this particular song he just says "I heart rock music". A Christian doesn't have to talk only about his/hers religion, right? | |

| System of a Down – Lonely Day Lyrics | 14 years ago |
One day my old friend told me she's just lost her faith in God. We were just sitting in her dark room for the whole evening, talking about God, priests, saints, meaning of life etc, etc... we were listening to her music, for example to this song. I thought it'll always remind me of her. She is like a sister for me. I know I won't ever leave her for the lonelinest day of her life... But yesterday I was rather angry because of a stupid thing. And I was sent a link to a pro-life website by one of my friends, who is a pro-lifer, like me... on this website there was written something horrible. I knew that in some countries people abort children, even when they're old enough to feel pain, even when they have nervous system, in the last months of pregnancy... but I didn't know that they just let them die, if they're still alive after abortion. You know what's happening in some clinics? They leave these children in the special places for dirty, infected material, to suffer alone. Some of them die quickly... for some of them it takes an hour or more to leave this sick world. No, it's not just a pro-life propaganda - this is what a nurse, who worked in such a clinic, said. Her name's Jill Stanek. And she's not from Asia nor Africa... she's from the USA. If you wanna know more, search the net. Today I played this song for myself... and I thought - my God, the ones who were let to stay alive feel lonely, 'cause they don't have a boyfriend, but there are ones, who's whole life was a day... the most painful, the most horrible, the most loneliness day... ;( |

| Flyleaf – Sorrow [Correction] Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Well, I've always thought the song was about regretting a night spent on you-know-what. She felt whole for just one second, when she was doing you-know-what with someone, but not her husband. She sings to this someone: "and we kiss each other one more time, and sing this lie that's half-way mine", she knows it was only for one night, she feels it was also her fault. When she sings "He knew each tear before it came", she sings about God (or maybe about her boyfriend/husband, if she was not only having sex with this someone, but also cheating her boyfriend/husband). I don't say Lacey cheats anyone, maybe she's a good wife, but who said a good wife cannot sing about what it's like when you're cheating and why it never satisfies you? On "Memento Mori" there is also a song about this, "The Kind" xD. |
| Flyleaf – Cassie Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Maybe "the Collumbine case" is just a myth, but this song, the song about necessity of martyrdom, is something that can be an anthem for every single Christian. Many people say that we, Christians, are narrow-minded, that we discriminate against LGTB people and others, but the truth is, Christianity is the most discriminated religion today (especially in Asia, of course). | |
| Flyleaf – Fully Alive Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This song is great... another one tellin' you something from my life. I know what dealing with a serious disease is like. Now I can say I'm "fully alive, more than most, ready to smile, and love life"! | |
| Flyleaf – Penholder Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Oh man, how could anyone misunderstood those lyrics?! The first verse is FOR SURE about the fans, who think she's such a great lyrics writer, there's nothing about a rape!!! I can really relate to those lyrics, 'cause I'm a Christian and a writer. I know what it's like when you feel that God is using you as a pen... and it's just like it's descibed in those lyrics! "It's not mine, anyway, I've just held the pen that day" |
| Skillet – Stronger Lyrics | 14 years ago |
What made me smile was - in the CD booklet the word "devil" starts with small letter, and the word "God" starts with capital letter XDD. The line "I'm more than a man, I was sent to rule on Earth, ask who I am" suggest it could be really written from Jesus's point of view, but maybe it was written from an exorcist's point of view. You know, the exorcist is goin' to do his job, but he's kinda scared, so he encourages himself and sings "blackness all around me, but I'm undeafeatable, my God is strong, my God is strong!". And the song sounds kida like taken from an exorcism (whispers at the beginning), so xD. |
| Flyleaf – Swept Away Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Oh yes, the music box sound is on mine version, too. And it used to freak me out, too xD. In my opinion, this song is about being possesed by a demon (or maybe just by a sin) and being saved by God in the end. The box music sound, in my opinion, is there on the right place, as a contrast. |

| Good Charlotte – The Anthem Lyrics | 14 years ago |
This song hooked me up to them and three years later helped me to get off them... I loved the meaning, 'cause I didn't know what "playing with yourself" means (I'm not English native speaker and we're not taught such idioms at school...). And it means masturbating. Now I know it and now I hate it. |
| Thousand Foot Krutch – My Own Enemy Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I was thinking about the meaning of "shake it like a photo" line. I'm not English native speaker, but I searched the net and find out that years ago people shook the photos they've just taken to make 'em clear. Today it is also connected with a song from the band called Outcast or Outkast, not sure, and it may mean "celebrating", "freakin' out" or, you know, it may also mean "trying to hook up someone", "dancing something like dancehall" or even "playing with yourself". These are the meanings I found on the net. But I think they don't make sense here. So that's mine interpretation. People shook the photos originally to make them develop faster, to make them clear. And the guy from the song says "oh no, who let them in the door? it's like a freak show". Maybe he means "man, I hate the thoughts/feelings that have come to me, they're so odd, how could I let them come?!". Then he says "shake it like a photo", means "make it clearer" or "shake it off", "let this go". I think it'd finally make sense. |
