Rated 0 rate down rate up I think the best interpretation of their music was written on the sleeve of their greatest hits...yeah, they have one. "Epic Hollywood Metal" Epic in the sense of the lyrics, Hollywood for the sound, it's mind-blowing, and metal...um...it's metal, not much to say there, �? ..... .ChildOfTheNight. 12-28-2006 ...... Rhapsody kicks ass! And it is Power Metal, but Power Metal is such a general term, and of all the bands within that genre, I wouldn't really say that Rhapsody is the 'average'. So to be more accurate: SYMPHONIC METAL! So ... Epic Hollywood symphonic Metal? |

IMO it sounds like gold and silver (especially with the sense of the tune) are very much reminiscent of fantasy and dream, it makes me think of the dreams and mindset of an innocent childhood, before the realities (the rain) of life were fully comprehended. With those things came the death of the early 'Golden Age' (darkness), but with them also came the depth needed for true greatness (dreams) |

To me this song is very much about the wonder and beauty of life as an ongoing journey. It remeinds me of dreams I had when I was younger. It is about life and potential - you never stop journeying and going on, with every new choice you make you can go in a new direction and an avenue of endless possibilities opens in front of you. Your journey is never open, and you are never *stuck* unless you allow it. As long as you go on their is a myriad of possible paths and futures to follow. But the price of following your own path and being free is that it can be confusing and scary. If you are not following the 'life script'and you are forging your own path and your own life, there are no comfortable sign posts and beaten paths to follow. This can be really scary. |
