| I agree with you on everything, but the lyrics. The way I see it, he is saying CAN. 'And when I CAN feel with my sun hands, I promise not to lose her agian.' It goes exactly with what you stated about how it hurts him so bad that he can only remember the power of the sun hands and the happiness he felt. Just as he says 'show me warmth, baby won't you show me warmth again', to me it seems like the feeling has been numb for some time. So when he CAN feel again, he promises not to lose the feeling again. | |

I think this song is about their friends death. When he says "So long, let these tears wash away the blood on your hands. So long, youre forgiven for easing her pain", I think its referring to him killing himself to get rid of "her" from his mind and the pain she caused him. Also, they say "we mourn the loss of a childhood friend". If you watch the video they're pourin shots of Jack Daniels on their friends grave too. |
