i feel as if when he says "the city is my church" he means that he lives by the city; its his way of life. it's probably his escape from reality/life, and he's faithful that it will bring him some sort of peace of mind, as a church would do all the above to someone religious. |

i can be completely wrong, but when i hear this song, this is what i think: he's spending time with a girl he truly cares about & likes a lot (maybe they're even dating), and he wants to make the best of the moment because it may be the last moment they have together. they might be in a forbidden relationship or something along the lines of that. but they both want to enjoy the very moment and stop the clock to make it last. |
