It would seem that most people are asleep when it comes to understanding the brazen malice these criminal elite possess---they are filthy rich---and yet that is not enough for them---they are extremely powerful---and yet that is not enough for them... ...When are people going to start waking up to the fact that these "New World Order Imperialist's" will not stop for anyone until they've accomplished there sadist fantasies of world order by---among many other things to come---brute force resulting in many millions more lives lost---and for what---the greater good?!!! IT SEEMS LIKE A LOT OF LISTENERS ARE MISSING THE BIGGER PICTURE HERE... Why Would The Narrator, A.K.A. Richard Marx, write a song about killing someone if he didn't...he's a musician, a person who's life is always in the spotlight. If he really killed someone...we would have found that out by now... It makes more sense, logically speaking, that he wanted to commit suicide to be with her because he did love her. If you really think about the bigger picture...it just doesn't make sense that he killed her. Sometimes people see too much in between the lines... Why not go to the horses mouth, so to speak, and find out from Richard Marx himself what the meaning of the song is before making such an emphatic claim that the narrator is writing about a murder...that's just foolish. The very thought of that would even indirectly implicate Richard Marx as having that malicious intent. Clearly, Richard Marx is simply a very good musical artist who sings very passionate songs... Sometimes people see too much in between the lines. Besides, its a common part of human-nature to quite often assume the worst... But when we think about it logically its hard to say that popular thinking alone could ever justify a sound conclusion... Search for the truth...ask for the truth...seek it...and it will find you! |

This song holds so much emotion in it, and no matter who sings it, if that person puts their heart and soul into the song...That's all that really matters. I agree with pinklinkin. Alicia Keys has such a beautiful voice...and the song might not originally be hers...but why should that matter with a voice like hers! I don't think it's fair to compare her with Brian Mcknight. She obviously had permission to make this rendition...and besides she's one of the greatest vocalists of this generation. Sometimes people just can't seem to help themselves but to pick on something good... I like the way Alicia sings...she evokes so much emotion from even just a few musical notes, never mind the whole song...that it just fondles my soul with quivering happiness and brings me to a place I could never have imagined before... Don't forget, we can't just sit on our laurels and do nothing while we wait for God to step in at the right time, we must strive everyday to live by his righteous standards, not caving in to the pressures of this world or letting materialism consume our way of life... (Luke 13:24) Of course, be very careful, those of you who would try to interpret that to mean secret man-made societies with selfish motives, for Jesus also explained God's viewpoint on the matter when he said: "You are those who declare yourselves righteous before men, but God knows your hearts; because what is lofty among men is a disgusting thing in God's sight."
