This is the way I interpret the song as well. She loves him, but he doesn't love her. "And my burden to bear Is a love I can't carry anymore"--I interpret this love to be her own. It hurts her too much to be with someone who doesn't love her, so she needs to let him go, to save herself, if you will, but that hurts, too. |
