This song is actually directly taken from Shakespeare in the play King Lear Act III scene 7. It is when one of the characters Gloucester has his eyes gouged out and was betrayed by his own son who he thought he could trust. So I think it is about someone thinking they can trust someone or something to only find out once they are hurt that they where betraying them. Wow im digging all this Shakespeare stuff it is cool how many movies and songs are related and based of off it cool. Check it out if any of yall get a chance. |
