I'm gonna have to go with B34ST1NG and the government wearing us out and making us mindless zombies coz its pretty much true. And I totally agree with Brakiss with the album being political although not entirely because a "Monument" can represent so many things most of it being government and political. Just my quick opinion. So if theres anything wrong please correct :) |

I doubt its about a denial of divine powers. In my opinion, this song can be related to Chelsea Smile. Chelsea Smile in my opinion was a song about straying away from God, but in the end going back to God since there isn't much to life as it as an illusion. That can also be related to "There is a hell believe me I've seen it. There is a heaven lets keep it a secret.". I think it means that heaven and hell lies within us, and to find either of them, we must look deep inside. My mom often tells me to pray for her when shes gone. Hence I can relate to the "Pray for the dead". Meaning that their time has ended and that they don't have a chance to repent or save themselves, sort of prophet like in my opinion. "I am an ocean. I am the sea. There is a world inside of me". I love this part because it gives the expression that life is not what most people believe in. Like studying hard in school, getting a good job, and all of those popular beliefs.
Well this was a bit of a crappy interpretation. But this is just my perception. My own opinion. Would loved to see Oli himself explain the meaning of this beautiful song. |

dr0mztm you ignorantly believe what they tell to the media? Are you aware of how the media controls the peoples thoughts? The idea of using Zombies was just as a coverup for their subliminal message they were trying to reach out with. I mean you heard the case where this rapper (dmx if im not mistaken) started singing about Jesus and see where he ends up. In jail. For singing about Christ. Don't be typical please. A band with a reputation for Christianity won't just go "hey lets go do an EP about zombies" without an agenda or something to behind it. I mean c'mon look at BMTH. Even they sing about parts from the bibles but only the darkest parts though. Nothing is at seems anymore. Nothing happens for no reason. Ignoring that means you're ignorant. |
