I love this song because it's one of the few in Smith's repertoire that shows a blues influence- to me, it comes off a LOT like Leadbelly's "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?". |

Anybody else just think its totally nonsensical? Not the lyrics, though. Just the name. The lyrics are simply your standard lovelorn melancholy... this is a great song by the way. I always loved the sound of Chilton's twelve-string! Such a full and rich sound. |

I see the song as definitely having many themes of disillusionment, as well as possibly being about falling out of touch with and tiring of society. God I love it. One of my favorites by Big Star. |
