| Selena Gomez & The Scene – Who Says Lyrics

I think that the lyrics to this song from beginning to end are a monologue by Selena in response to a bully's actions. The song is basically being sung to the bully, and shows perfect insight into the insecurity that fuels bullying behavior as well as sensitivity about what motivates the bully to behave the way they do. At the same time, she stands her ground and says that she is confident in who she is and needs no one else's interpretation of what's beautiful or acceptable to define her. Awesome song for girls with low self esteem. |

I have asked a close friend of mine who is really into mysticism about whether or not she knows of anything along the lines of "musical therapy". I think that your experience illustrates an excellent real world example of this. Btw, her loss buddy ;) |

Many sites - even his own - say that no statement has been made from the Ozzy camp confirming he has ever been officially diagnosed BP. However, I do agree with you. Your argument is compelling if not thorough. Thanks for sharing it. |

| Burton Cummings – I'm Scared Lyrics

I honestly think that this song is pure metaphor. My interpretation is of a person relating an epiphany of some kind (not necessarily religious, hence the metaphor of the church, choir, st. thomas) that may not have transformed his life at the time it happened, but the memory of it has been at work continuously since then (don't really know what it was, but I know it's still right there). Ultimately, I think that the main theme of this song speaks to spiritual awakening, healing, and clarity. Sometimes ppl need to have the shit scared out of them before they come to realize what is truly substantial and meaningful for them in their lives. |

| Queensrÿche – Silent Lucidity Lyrics

Back in my teens when this song was getting alot of airplay, I was given an interpretation from a friend about the lyrics of this song and he was probably the BIGGEST Queensryche die hard I've ever known. According to him, the singer (first person), is consoling a loved one (second person), and uses dream metaphors to describe the experience of mental illness for the one suffering. I think he actually narrowed it down to the experience of schizophrenia as the most concrete example, but I suppose any mental illness would be applicable. Thought this might be a more profound explanation. Not sure of its accuracy. |
