"on booze, i'm left in residue and confused like the first time you used soft water" This clearly is a pun but i dont know if its just the pothead in me wanting yoni to smoke but does this line mean hes drunk and out of weed and forgets why so he's confused, bringing in the pun. anyone who's actually showered in soft water would know that after you get out of the shower your skin is slightly slimey and it leaves a residue. plus the "at showbiz pizza when i was six was overwhelming and not dissimilar to this" line ends with him smoking im pretty sure. or i could just be a pothead. both make sense to me. oh and the chorus, to me, means if im being a hypocrit then whatever i am.

i dont know if this is helpful but in aanother song Yoni says how he keeps a tape recorder on his bedside table. i believe the opening spoken lines are him waking up and recording things pulled from a dream he had. i cant think of anything else a tape recorder would be there for you know? input please? |
