| i guess this is because there's not much of a difference between a girlfriend and a band member. since the lyrics are ambiguous we will never know. but zender left the band while this specific album (synkronized) was being produced. and kay's reaction was to remove all of zender's appearances in the tracks and additionally writing "king for a day" which doesn't contain any bass. actually i hope this song is about zender. dedicating one of jamiroquai's best songs to zender shows kay's appreciation. the music video displays a drunk kay in a moldering mansion and company. there is no doubt the poetic persona is suffering from the grievous loss and so it has something to shout about. | |
