| TOTALLY FREAKIN AGREE, I actually just put that up as a separate comment before I read people's replies on here. This song is WAY TOO SIMILAR TO THE EVENTS of that novel for it to be coincidence. I think they wrote this song definitely with 1984 in mind. | |

| I think this song is either about or totally embodies the novel 1984. E-mail me or comment back with questions as to why because I don't feel like explaining right now, it seems there are too many allusions to the events that transpire in the book for it to be coincidence. | |

GOLLY, more of that bullshit ice rap (meaning he's about to rap about jewelry and money) I got to apologize to Mos and Kweli (he's apologizing because they are his friends and he understands that they are underground lyricists who rap about social issues and hate rappers who got famous for rapping about essentially nothing) He's being sarcastic through and through anyway, the line where he says, "I always said if I rapped I'd say something significant, but now I'm rappin' bout money hoes and rims agaaaiiinnnn" is clearly sarcastic because he draws it out and speaks in a different voice than we are usually accustomed to. |

"I'm so appalled, spalding ball" Ok maybe this is crazy but i think it's a reference to his life after the taylor swift incident. he was a CASTAWAY (yeah that's right bitches like the tom hanks movie) and he has nothing left (hence spalding ball) BEST LINE EVER _________________________________________________________________ This is a crazy analysis because if you remember it was a Wilson brand volleyball not Spalding. Hence, "WILSON!" Tom Hanks' character even got mad at the end of the film when he found out his ex's doctor was named Spalding (or something along those lines). So scratch that. A good song though. |

Because you're a lost soul who has nothing else to whine and complain over because your life is probably not as bad as you think it is. This is advice not negativity. Don't worry about it though. In five years you'll realize everything you have up until that point in your life can be attributed to your parents and you'll love them more than you did when you were 5. It's a stage most people go through at some point or another. If I had to guess I'd say you're white, live in the suburbs, and your friends are emo? Then again, maybe I'm just being cynical. Again I hope you take this as advice (not negativity or condescension) to wake up to the world and love your parents and stop complaining because you'll probably regret it later in life if you don't. The only reason I posted is because when people go back on what they say with disclaimers like, "it may sound like I'm lying," or, in your case, "this may sound fake" it usually is. Sorry. |

Who cares who gets abused more? It's pretty sad when a post generates so much male-female competition over ABUSE. I'm pretty sure the bottom line is that it takes a weak person to stay in a relationship with someone who is abusing you, and it takes an even weaker man to stay in a relationship with a woman who is "abusing" him (much emphasis on the quotations here). Anyway, just enjoy the awesomeness that is Marshall Mathers. P.S. Why is there even people commenting on here about the meaning of a song that is blatantly obvious? |
