This album really plays Caleb's vocal chops to full advantage. He swings from visceral yelps to beautiful balladry effortlessly! Seriously, the vocalist of his generation. Also, I love the informality of the phrase "doing my head in" in the context of a love song! |

I love this band. I love this, and every other, album they have ever released. They are ridiculously talented and their music is, quite simply, important in my life. That being said, the first two lines of lyrics in this song make me shudder -not in a good way! Also pretty sure some of these lyrics are incorrect. E.g. think it should be "all my life I was born to leave" |

"Well my seat, lights on Broadway..." Come on! This is a joke right? It's "when I see the lights on Broadway I know it's gonna be a long night." As in Broadway, Nashville. What a song this is! It has a similar vibe to The Immortals with the big falling sensation of the chorus. Beautiful backing vocals |

Amazing vocal! Showcases Caleb's versatility across genres. His phrasing is so unique. I'm too in love with the way he sings the word "city" !!! Not many men could sing "I could shake it like a woman" and still be sexy :-) |

Love this song, can't believe no-one's commented yet! Pretty sure some of these lyrics are incorrect... Think it's "skinny cigarette" rather than "skin and cigarette." Also, think it's "I'm not much for talking, until I'm pushed aside - then I speak just fine." Love love love the vocals (including backing) on this track. It has such a great, driving energy. Great song to run to!! |

Check out the Come Around Sundown interviews on the KOL YouTube channel. Caleb explains that he wrote the song as a response to Nathan getting married. He was unhappy about it cos he felt like he was losing his best buddy so he's actually singing "marry if you wanna, I'll waive my right" in a kind of bravado, 'screw you' tone. Then in second verse, he refers to Nacho saying they'll go out and do all the fun things he used to do with Nathan but fears he's losing out on now that Nathan will be married. Great song, love the vocal harmonies and seriously one of the best intros to a song ever-but not theeee best cos nothing beats McFearless!:-) |

The lyrics at the start of this are actually: "Got Nacho, thinking that he's always right." Caleb explained this in an ITV2 interview screened last week in UK; Nacho referring to his cousin. |
