Emilie Autumn – 306 Lyrics 14 years ago
306 suicides (or so they think?) during the course of 6 years in just the Seine River. 16 were in just one day; 1 in the morning I read. That explains the numbers.

Pink Floyd – Eclipse Lyrics 14 years ago
"I don't see it as a riddle. The album uses the sun and the moon as symbols; the light and the dark; the good and the bad; the life force as opposed to the death force. I think it's a very simple statement saying that all the good things life can offer are there for us to grasp, but that the influence of some dark force in our natures prevents us from seizing them. The song addresses the listener and says that if you, the listener are affected by that force, and if that force is a worry to you, well I feel exactly the same too. The line 'I'll see you on the dark side of the moon' [Brain Damage] is me speaking to the listener, saying, 'I know you have these bad feelings and impulses because I do too and one of the ways I can make direct contact with you is to share with you the fact that I feel bad sometimes." -Roger Waters

I'm kinda siding with him on this.

Dude, you're so wrong... I'm even YOUNGER than you (1998) and I've really liked this song since I was 7 or 8... and I fucking hate Justin Beaver or whatever the hell his name is :/
But yes, this song is kinda hard to find the meaning of. That's why there's this website.

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Knock Me Down Lyrics 15 years ago
When I first heard this, I thought it was about drugs. "If you see me getting high, knock me down." A metaphor for doing drugs and trying to get out of his addiction is what I thought it was. After I started reading the lyrics though, I thought maybe not...

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Strip My Mind Lyrics 15 years ago
I was listening to this song a while ago and I was listening to it with the lyrics, and I just thought of what the song was about (I think, I could be wrong). I think it's about a girl who leaves a guy, though I'm not sure which guy it is. It makes sense to the chorus, when it says "Please don't strip my mind, leave something behind" because "strip my mind" would be when she's leaving him and "leave something behind" is him wanting her to stay.
I could be wrong though. I haven't read any of the other comments yet for a better understanding.
