Gypsy and the Cat – The Piper's Song Lyrics 15 years ago
In the night, see a face, it's in the dark
Through his eyes see a light shining gold
And this man, he walks alone, singing songs of victory
When he sleeps, there's a struggle and the light begins to fade...

Heaven tells the past, all he had: love and fear
He was stronger then, all had: love and pain
Then one day, thunder struck, evil tears run down his face
And a change good to buy, good to buy

Where to run?
Are you there? Are you there?
In the winter sun
He's dancing in the wind

Where to run?
Are you there? Are you there?
In the wilderness
Look and you will find him

A mother weeps, a child sleeps, their broken hearts
A bleeding wine, just passing time, their horror shows
They're at his grave, at Valid creek, the place where he began to see
The evil tide that would dissolve him of the good that stood within

Heaven tells the past, all he had: love and fear
He was stronger then, all had: love and pain
Then one day, thunder struck, evil tears run down his face
And a change good to buy, good to buy

Where to run?
Are you there? Are you there?
In the winter sun
He's dancing in the wind

Where to run?
Are you there? Are you there?
In the wilderness
Look and you will find him

Thunder, thunder in the town
Thunder, waiting for a sound

Where to run?
Are you there? Are you there?
In the wilderness
Look and you will find him

Where to run?
Are you there? Are you there?
In the winter sun
He's dancing in the wind

(Yours was mostly correct, with a few wrong words. This version seems to make more sense. I'm guessing this song is about a corrupted man, who does something horrid in his disconnected town. Valid creek? It must be based on real events...maybe?)
