I think she's singing about how faith is considered by modern people. "I'm the hero of the story, don't need to be saved" - people of faith believe Jesus is their savior and we are to give ourselves to him while many people now believe you have to save yourself. "The TVs try to rape us and I guess that their succeeding" - many people pay more attention to things like celebrity gossip or the latest episode of Glee than the moral Bible stories they were taught "Were going to these meetings, but were not doing any meeting" - like going to church but only caring about that cute guy you want to call afterword... "were trying to be faithful but were cheating, cheating, cheating" - so many people claim to be religious but outside of church they cuss, have premarital sex, etc. We say we won't...until we do. So my examples are a little specific but the gist of the song makes me think about things not going as planned, espcially as we grow as people and lose our tunnel vision and start to look at things in different lights and also the confusion this can bring. And that especially applies to faith. |

Before I looked up the lyrics I thought it said "Do you see how the wind in your hair now feels divinely" I don't even know if "divinely" can be pronounced like "div-en-lee" but it doesn't sound like "differently"'s what he's saying. |
