This song literally made me cry because of how powerful it is. Linkin park still creates "good" music to those who hate ATS. Great band, great music, great meanings. I have to admit they're soft songs are possibly better than their hardcore or techo hip hop songs. |

First off this song was definately not supposed to be about a relationship or a soldier (sorry). But more as to them changing to a new sound. Id you've listened to when they come for me. It's basically saying eff you were moving on. Like a dark mood. This song however is almost saying the same thing in a lighter tone. Not the end, more to come. Not the beginning, as to they were foreshadowing it in M2M basically. And with other stuff like the song new divide maye? Holding on to what I haven't got. Sayin ok maybe not ALL our fans like ATS. So.... I still have hope. And ya so lighter mood, same message: were starting over, differently. |

Well after listening to when they come for me on ATS I believe this song was foreshadowing about Joe ATS was gona be way different from meteora and HT. Black skies and lighting, pressure from record labels. I get what I deserve. Obviously Linkin park wanted their own style. Give me reason to prove me wrong. To wash this memory clean. Well, give him an answer to say they cannot so what they want. And to start over, wash everything away they had done. Let the floods cross line. I think it could be saying were basically telling you were changing and you should see that. Fill this hole. In the empty space where they're starting over, fill it with something good. Connect the space between. Theyre saying it's still Linkin park no matter what they make. Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies across this new divide. Well let this new stuff be good enough to reach out to true LP fans about the huge gap between HT and ATS. Memories left abandoned. On guessing they will NEVER go back to old style and theyre looking back at they're old stuff. Nowhere to hide the ashes fell like snow. Not sure, but maybe nothing to do against the record labels. And the ground caved in. Probably about the divide, not so much about the albums but them and record labels. In every loss, in ever lie. Loss as in no more hardcore rock metal stuff. And every lie saying that it's not them in the first two albums. In every truth that you'd deny. Saying ATS, alot of people hated it. And each regret and each goodbye. Not sure really. Was a mistake to great to hide. Still not sure... But ya that's my interperetation of the song. |
