I hear "in your favor", not in your fingers Also, I think the song is about being on the edge of a decision, one side feels safe, the other feels dangerous, like jumping into a volcano, or falling in love, or taking some other huge risk. Sometimes it is hard to make that kind of decision because you are afraid to get hurt, but you also know it could turn out much better for you. |

I'm not sure what the second line he sings is, it sounds like it starts "As I have", or "As a half" then .. something "in the plain?" I think the song is a conversation with God, and is about struggling with trying to be two people, one who does what is right/what God wants, and one who deviates, comes to his "own conclusions". The stone represents an obstacle, and I think the remaining in you part is a Christian metaphor for remaining with God. I'm surprised not to see lots of comments on this one, maybe it is because the lyrics are unclear? Go find and listen to this now. |
