| Heartless Bastards – Sway Lyrics | 12 years ago |

I think this one is pretty straightforward. She feels lost, heartbroken and alone. Friends and family members just can't relate and this makes her feel even worse. She has a glimmer of hope, she is down but not out . Maybe she drinks to try and numb the pain, and in those moments she is able to somewhat let go and she wants to be able to stay in that somewhat happy place. It gives her contrast of her otherwise sorry state. I really love the lyrics , the music and her voice. It was an instant favorite the first time I heard it. |

| Van Morrison – Sweet Thing Lyrics | 13 years ago |

Looks like someone messed up and put the lyrics for Spanish Rose here instead of Sweet Thing... And I will stroll the merry way And jump the hedges first And I will drink the clear Clean water for to quench my thirst And I shall watch the ferry-boats And they'll get high On a bluer ocean Against tomorrows sky And I will never grow so old again And I will walk and talk In gardens all wet with rain Oh sweet thing, sweet thing My, my, my, my, my sweet thing And I shall drive my chariot Down your streets and cry Hey, it's me, Im dynamite And I don't know why And you shall take me strongly In your arms again And I will not remember That I even felt the pain. We shall walk and talk In gardens all misty and wet with rain And I will never, never, never Grow so old again. Oh sweet thing, sweet thing My, my, my, my, my sweet thing And I will raise my hand up Into the night time sky And count the stars That's shining in your eye Just to dig it all and not to wonder That's just fine And I'll be satisfied Not to read in between the lines And I will walk and talk In gardens all wet with rain And I will never, ever, ever, ever Grow so old again. Oh oh sweet thing, sweet thing Sugar-baby with your champagne eyes And your saint-like smile.... |

| Harry Belafonte – Jump in the Line (Shake, Senora) Lyrics | 14 years ago |

Last time I listened, it clicked in my head that this is about sex: Senora's dance has no title You jump in the saddle Hold on to de bridle! I don't think he is singing about dancing... |
