| Nirvana – Lithium Lyrics | 14 years ago |

Hey shut up. I was on that stuff for four years. I just got off it: 1. lithium is one of the first drugs doctors prescribe to anyone who's diagnosed with bipolar disorder. 2. bipolar people come in all different styles and severities. people with regular GPs might go to them complaining that they can't sleep or concentrate, or they might complain that they're feeling suicidal. 3. this DOES NOT mean that "th'shit's prescribed to violent mentally ill patients!" Most bipolar people have taken lithium, and most bipolar people are about as violent as you are. The worst ones are either self-destructive, incredibly hard to talk to, or both. A drunk is more likely to be violent than a bipolar person. 4. no, "happy" is a stupid description of mania. anxious, self-destructive, talkative, adrenaline-filled, reckless, psychotic, horny, high as a kite, stupid, and frazzled are better words. a bipolar person who ISN'T experiencing mania or depression would be happy. |

| Bauhaus – Slice Of Life Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| This song is a tribute to the artist Barbara Kruger. It takes lines from some of her works (like "Your gaze hits the side of my face" and "I am your slice of life" and "You destroy what you think is difference"). Kruger typically took a black and white photograph and glued on some very acerbic messages in red paper with white or black text that typically heavily criticised consumer culture, materialism, and how it sucks the soul out of society. | |
