Kings of Leon – No Money Lyrics 13 years ago
I think there are a few mistakes in these lyrics. In the last verse I think he says, "I got my check, on to the next one," and I'm positive that it changes to: "I got my money, but I want you so."
My interpretation of this song is that he could be talking about music. He wants music to give him what he needs (happiness and self-fulfillment) and to get him "off the street" (with money, of course). He feels like he's trapped in a nowhere town and people (possibly even his family) have been telling him he's a waste, who won't amount to anything. He feels as if he's been through hell and back (probably working dead end jobs), and the years are passing by with nothing changing. He wants to pursue music, but he knows that he is broke. It takes money to make music, and this type of career is definitely not promised. Much to his surprise, he actually makes it and now has so much money that he doesn't know what to do with it. So he has his money and he's ready to move away from his shitty life back home. When he says, "I got my money, but I want you so," I think he's referring to that fact that music has made him so much money that he could indeed quit, but he just loves it so much (no matter how exhausting the touring and all may be) that he just can't quite give it up.

Kings of Leon – True Love Way Lyrics 13 years ago
I think it's a possibility he could be referencing to the same girl from "Milk" when he says, "She could kill me just like she did before." He says, "Kill me," repetively in that song when he found out the shitty truth.

Kings of Leon – Mi Amigo Lyrics 13 years ago
Yes, this song is clearly about liquor and I'm pretty sure it's this little lady named Tequila (hence the Spanish title). Lines such as, "Tells me I look better" and "Tells me I got a big ol' dick" reinforce the confidence that liquid courage can give us all. Also, when Caleb says, "To pick me out the piece of a place I call home," I think he is saying that he can use alcohol as a way to help with being home sick. But as we all know, alcohol comes with it's negatives, too. "Chews me up and spits me out" can be looked at as the terrible hangover experiences the morning after. "Showers me in bruises...." Well I know I've awakened the next day to find soreness and bruises from falls, maybe even fights that I can't remember because of how GONE I was the night before.
