| To me this song is about a girl who has been with people like him before and can see it unfolding in the same way but there is something that is causing her to stay no matter how it ends. The beginning verse (put your lips close to mine as long as they dont touch... until the gravity is too much) shows the connection they have when they are together and all she can see is him. as the song continues she voices her doubts and knows how right her doubts were in the past but she likes the danger of not knowing. towards the end of the song she decides to attempt to let go of those doubts and to whole heartedly go into this relationship (nothing safe is worth the drive and i would follow you home) in that line she is saying no matter what happens he is worth every second of it. | |
