Definitely my favorite muse song ever. i definitely see the dystopian society theme in this song. It's about the world trying to change who we are, and make us all the same. Closing our minds to anything but the "truth" they try to shove down our throat. We are supposed to forget who we are and our values we learned as we were brought up, and take on the new values that society finds acceptable, and no knowledge thrives outside of their knowledge "cover up what shouldn't be shared". The person in this song has been brainwashed, and he's trying to remember who he was before. He has assumptions that he used to be more "open-minded." |
