Hmm, this song sounds a lot to me like an old Alice in Chains song, "Love Hate Love". Even during the guitar solo the note progression is very similar to the solo in the AIC song. Now I know Sully is an AIC fan but come on, can't he come up with some new material? All the latest Godsmack songs, IMHO, sound almost painfully alike. BTW this constructive criticism is coming from someone who very much likes Godsmack & Sully Erna. I even went to one of their concerts, which was badass. But we all get stuck in ruts sometimes... as a fellow songwriter I can relate. |
